For my mom's 70th birthday this year I decided it would be a lot of fun to surprise her for a quick weekend trip to see her in St. George. My dad and I planned how we would do it and quickly we came up with a plan where she wouldn't suspect what we were doing. I booked an evening flight into Las Vegas the day before her birthday while my dad told her he was taking her to Vegas for her birthday celebration. After I got off the plane I took a cab to PF Changs on the strip. My flight had been delayed so I was trying to communicate with my dad without her knowing. When I showed up at the restaurant I told the people who I was and they were already expecting me. I left my bags at the front desk and I slowly made my way towards the back of the restaurant. I didn't want to give my mom a heart attack so I slowly and softly tapped her on the shoulder. She was SO SURPRISED. It was so much fun that we were able to surprise her. We all ate dinner and then went to stay at a hotel near the outlets. The next morning we got up and went shopping and then headed back to St. George. We spent the rest of the weekend biking, eating, watching movies, talking, and eating cookies together. It was such a fabulous weekend that I got to spend with my parents, but mostly to be with my mom on her exciting milestone year.
