Girls Cross Country - Fall 2016

The girls had a great cross country season.  Since baby Madeline came early I had a little bit of time to recover before the girls first cross country meet.  Emma ran the 1.5meets races and pushed herself to do the 1.5 mile race during the last meet.  I saw so much improvement and hard work in both girls during the season.  Even though I was still recovering I tried as hard as I could to run between different sections of the course so that I could cheer the girls on as much as I could during each of their three meets.  I was so grateful that Mike was able to be there to help out with Madeline and enjoy watching the girls race.  During the last race Emma qualified to run in the Statewide celebration cross country meet.  If only the race had not been on Sunday Emma would have been able to participate.  Abby technically missed it by 3 seconds but still did so well for not having run the 1.5 miles before.  I love the Landsharks running club because the girls get to run during the week with their friends and great volunteer coaches and then feel a sense of accomplishment every time they race.  I'm so happy that my girls love running.
